by Lauren

May 3rd is a bittersweet kind of day :)

Our wallets are going to be dead but sooooo many awesome book are coming out May 3rd. Most of the books are continuations of some of my favorite series or by authors I adore! If I were to buy all of the books on my list the price would come out to about $140 at a normal bookstore. Not even including tax! But you can’t choose between just one or two…

Here’s a list some of the books I can’t wait to buy this coming May 3rd:

What Are You Reading Wednesday

What Are You Reading Wednesday is hosted by It’s A Reading Thing. #WAYRW

What’s the name of your current read?¬†

Hey! It’s Kaitlin posting! I am currently reading¬†The Darkest Minds¬†by Alexandra Bracken.

Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

“Her chin came down to rest against her chest. Long, tangled masses of hair fell over her shoulders and cheeks, hiding her expression. I felt it then – the way that the hold I had on her had suddenly sprung free. I had the strangest sensation of floating, of drifting farther and farther away with nothing and no one to cling to. I was standing right beside her, but the distance between us had split into the kind of canyon I could’t jump across.”

Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

No, I would not like to live in the world of¬†The Darkest Minds! What with the¬†rehabilitation camp, PSFs, and really, just all the crazy, sadistic people, it does not seem like a pleasant place…

Bookish News!

This week in the book world Sarah J. Maas revealed the title of her newest book. It will be the 5th book in the wonderful Throne of Glass series. I am sooooo excited!

The Empire of Storms comes out September 6th, 2016! The Throne of Glass coloring book also releases the same day.

The long path to the throne has only just begun for Aelin Galathynius. Loyalties have been broken and bought, friends have been lost and gained, and those who possess magic find themselves at odds with those don’t.

As the kingdoms of Erilea fracture around her, enemies must become allies if Aelin is to keep those she loves from falling to the dark forces poised to claim her world. With war looming on all horizons, the only chance for salvation lies in a desperate quest that may mark the end of everything Aelin holds dear.

Aelin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?

Waiting on Wednesday

hosted by Breaking the Spine

I am SOOOOOOO excited for this book to come out. Wendy Higgins is an amazing writer. I loved her Sweet Evil Trilogy! Comes out March 8th!!   -Lauren

Kill the beast. Win the girl.

A strange beast stirs fear in the kingdom of Lochlanach, terrorizing towns with its brutality and hunger. In an act of desperation, a proclamation is sent to all of Eurona‚ÄĒkill the creature and win the ultimate prize: the daughter of King Lochson‚Äôs hand in marriage.

Princess Aerity understands her duty to the kingdom though it pains her to imagine marrying a stranger. It would be foolish to set her sights on any particular man in the great hunt, but when a brooding local hunter, Paxton Seabolt, catches her attention, there’s no denying the unspoken lure between them…or his mysterious resentment.

Paxton is not keen on marriage. Nor does he care much for spoiled royals and their arcane laws. He‚Äôs determined to keep his focus on the task at hand‚ÄĒridding the kingdom of the beast and protecting his family‚ÄĒyet Princess Aerity continues to challenge his notions with her unpredictability and charm. But as past secrets collide with present desires, dire choices threaten everything Paxton holds dear.

Inspired by the Grimm Brothers‚Äô tale, ‚ÄúThe Singing Bone,‚ÄĚ New York Times bestselling author Wendy Higgins delivers a dark fantasy filled with rugged hunters, romantic tension, outlawed magic, and a princess willing to risk all to save her people.

What Are You Reading Wednesday

What Are You Reading Wednesday is hosted by It’s A Reading Thing. #WAYRW

1. What’s the name of your current read?

Hi, its Kaitlin posting! I am currently reading Their Fractured Light by Meagan Spooner and Amie Kaufman.

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a couple of sentences.

I would love to share with you all a couple of sentences from page 34 of the book… but its a blank page! How funny is that. Well, I’ll share with you all some sentences from page 35!

“For a moment, we’re in perfect sync, and then she ruins it by swinging her arm sideways to whack me in the chest as we turn up an alleyway, sending a line of pain snaking down my injured arm.

‘Hey , what was¬†that for?’ I hiss.

‘You know,’ she snaps, breath coming quickly.

I’d love to think her breathlessness is from our moment of passion in the cab, but we’re running pretty fast.”

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why  not?

No, I wouldn’t want to live in Their Fractured World. Why? Because it seems like a crazy scary place! After looking at society through the eyes of the characters in all 3 books, you get a sense of how corrupted everything¬†really is. I mean,¬†LaRoux is a psycho.
